Keeping a copy

Export everything you've kept as a zip, files and all, or the words alone, any time.

Everything, in one zip

In You, then Settings, under Keep a copy, Export everything puts together every note you’ve kept, with its day and version, every photo, recording and PDF, and your settings, in one zip. With lots of photos it can take a few minutes, and you can leave the page and come back.

When it’s ready, Download the zip. It’s there for a day; Make a fresh one replaces it with a new one.

What’s inside

  • release-notes.md: every note in Markdown, day by day under each release, easy to read anywhere.
  • release-notes.json: the same, and more, as data for another program: each note with its place and weather, your settings, your pauses, your Upcoming dates, your badges, the feedback you sent Jamie with the answers, and your activity log.
  • files/: every photo, recording and PDF, each named for its day.
  • Your profile photo, if you have one.

The words alone

Under the export, Markdown and JSON download the same two files straight away, without the photos and recordings.

Other ways to keep it

Make a book of any days you pick, with their photos, as a PDF.

Leaving

Your notes are yours: export them any time, and take them wherever you like. If you’d rather go, deleting your account offers the export first.
