Deleting your account
How deleting works, what goes, and the copy you're offered first.
Before you go
Deleting is for good, and it can’t be undone. If you’d only like a break, pause or stop the emails instead: nothing is deleted that way.
How to delete
In You, then Settings, choose Delete my account. The page offers you a copy of everything first, as a zip or the words alone (Keeping a copy has what’s in it).
To make sure it’s you, Release Notes emails a six-digit code to your address. It works once, for 15 minutes, and it can only delete: it can’t sign anyone in. Type it in, and Delete everything. If you didn’t ask for a code, ignore the email, and nothing is deleted.
What goes
Everything: every note and the original emails behind them, every photo, recording and PDF, any export or book, your Upcoming dates, badges and activity log, your settings and profile photo, your own address for notes and your calendar link. Every sign-in ends, and every connected agent is disconnected.
Old copies of files are gone within 30 days. A copy of the database is kept each month as a backup, so a deleted note can remain in backups made before you deleted it. Privacy has more.
Signing up again later starts a new account, with nothing from the old one.
