Pausing and stopping
Take a break from the morning email for a while, or stop it, without losing anything.
Pausing
Away, or just need a break? In You, then Settings, Pause the emails stops them for 1 to 60 days: pick how long, or the last day without an email. They start again on their own.
Paused days don’t break your streak. You can still write on them, on the web, by mailing your own address or through an agent, and a day you write on counts as usual.
Upcoming reminders come only in the morning email, so a pause skips them too. To end a pause early, Start them again now in Settings, or Start the emails again now on the pause page.
Stopping
Unsubscribe, at the foot of every morning email, opens a page where one button stops the emails. Many mail apps also show an unsubscribe button of their own, which stops them in one tap.
Stopping deletes nothing. Your notes stay, and you can sign in any time to read them, export them or write on the web. While the emails are stopped, your own address for notes takes nothing.
The emails also stop if one bounces for good or is marked as spam. Settings says why they stopped.
Starting again
Start them again in Settings brings the morning email back, whatever stopped it. If it stopped because an email bounced or was marked as spam, starting again clears that too.
